School of Economics and Law
The School of Economics and Law has four undergraduate majors in law, international economics and trade, finance and e-commerce, with a total of more than 1,400 students.
The school has five basic teaching organizations: the Department of Law, the Department of International Trade, the Department of Finance, the Department of E-commerce and Ideological and Political Teaching and Research Office. It has a legal aid center, mock court, international trade and cross-border e-commerce practice training room, banking and financial investment practice training room, e-commerce and online marketing practice training room.
The Ningbo Bay Area Economic Research Institute, cofounded with Cixi Environmental Innovation Center, is the first Bay Area Economic Research Institute in China, and has been recognized and supported by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Ningbo Academy of Social Sciences. The hosted Bay Area Economic Forum has great influence in China.
In discipline construction, applied economics is among the first batch of key disciplines in Ningbo. Ningbo Bay Area Economic Research Base is also the first municipal social science research base of Ningbo.
Adhering to the philosophy of “strive to be a professional with youth and perspiration”, the school emphasizes the combination of solid professional ability and individuality of students, the combination of professional training direction and new regional needs, and strengthens international cooperation and exchange to jointly cultivate professional practice-based talents in laws, economics and management.
